In this update we’ll share the progress from the Floorcraft:Blasters art and QA team, along with visuals that show that the team have indeed, blasted the limits! Ready to get in to it?

Merlin and the art team made the next iteration of the core tower deployable. This new edition is set to be draped in billboards and will fire lasers at players, adding a challenge that translates well to single-player mode.

Additionally, Marko, has been working on a new visual package for the laser blaster. The core mechanic update now allows users to hold down the laser to charge up before the release, creating a sense of anticipation before a large, impactful payoff- as can be seen below. (Can we have a moment for the new exhaust trails please🔥)

The team has also worked on additional vehicle ideas, which can be seen below. Additionally, they have added an “under vehicle glow” feature that sits beneath your vehicle and highlights it from the player’s perspective.

Moving on, the QA team has been testing leaderboards in Floorcraft: Blasters, which will enable players to see their name and points. This feature is expected to enhance the competition among users.

In addition to this, Charlie and the team are exploring design options for a ToyMat and how to handle AR within a given domain for Floorcraft. The thought process here is that if they can define a set play area for a Floorcraft experience they can then further expand on what is capable within that known space.

What they are looking to experiment with is a seamless scanning process in which depending on what app you scan in with, different environments will appear and overlay the physical mat.

On the UI front, the team are currently exploring many options for different stylization as they go into their UI improvement phase for Blasters. They’re still working out what looks good and is legible enough. (Don’t get Charlie started on this!)

Finally, I’m excited to share that we reached 30 000 views on Youtube last week! Damir and I have been regularly updating Youtube, and if you haven’t subscribed to our channel yet, feel free to do so here and keep updated with all the visual magic from Matterless> https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqroafjCso4MBG_53bTA6QQ

Alright, folks! We’ve almost reached hump day. The team’s been putting in work, coming up with some super cool new features. Exciting times ahead — can’t wait to see what they come up with next, and of course, share it with you all!
